A new project in Tokyo, Japan to rehab the image of public restrooms in parks has rolled out transparent porta-potties. Once the door is locked, the walls turn opaque blocking anyone inside from view. The public toilets are engineered with Smart Glass, giving them the ability to go from transparent to solid colored. We can all breathe a sigh of relief, but maybe wait until you leave the bathroom first. Here’s a video and a link to the Business Insider story. Photo: Satoshi Nagare.
