Contest Name: Lucky For You Contest

1. SPONSOR

This Contest is sponsored and administered by Woodard Broadcasting Company (“Sponsor”), PO Box 3770 Oxford, AL 36203.

If applicable: This Contest may be presented by or conducted in conjunction with a third-party promotional partner (“Promotional Partner”), as identified in on-air announcements and promotional materials.

2. ELIGIBILITY

  • Open to legal U.S. residents.
  • One entry per keyword and one entry per on location QR Code
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry.
  • Employees of Woodard Broadcasting Company, affiliated entities, Promotional Partners, prize providers, advertising agencies, and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible.
  • Void where prohibited by law.

Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility.

3. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase the chances of winning.

4. CONTEST PERIOD

The Contest begins on March 2, 2026 and ends on March 31, 2026. Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeping device.

5. HOW TO ENTER

Text-to-Win Entry

Listen to 97.9 FM WVOK weekdays (MONDAY-FRIDAY) during the contest period for a keyword that will be given at or near the top of each hour from 7 AM to 7 PM Central each weekday as specified above.

Listeners will then text that keyword to the station text line, 256-831-2898. A link will be bounced back to the entrant that they will click to take them to a website entry form.

Listeners will then fill out the form for a single entry into the contest. Listeners can listen for the next keyword the following weekday for another opportunity to win.

Each weekday keyword will go live just before 7 AM Central and will expire at 7:30 PM Central on the same day. Entries that come in after the day’s cut off time will not be counted.

In-Person Entry

There will be a physical QR Code Poster at one or more physical locations of our sponsors.

Scanning the QR Code at the sponsor location will take the entrant to a special website that they can fill out their entry information.

When entrants scan the QR Code on location and fill out the form, they will receive 5 additional entries for the contest.

Entrants can scan at multiple locations, but will only get credit for extra entries once per location.

 

Locations of the QR Code Poster/s will be announced on-air.

6. LIMITATIONS ON ENTRY

Limit one entry per person per day unless otherwise specified.
Use of automated systems, bots, or fraudulent entry methods will result in disqualification.

7. WINNER SELECTION

Winner(s) will be selected by random drawing or as otherwise described in on-air announcements.
Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.

Sponsor’s decisions are final.

8. PRIZE DETAILS

Describe prize fully:

  • Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $300
  • Prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash unless determined by Sponsor.
  • Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

Winner is responsible for all taxes and expenses not specifically stated.

If prize value exceeds $600, winner must complete IRS Form W-9 and may receive a Form 1099.

9. WINNER NOTIFICATION

Winner must respond within 20 days or prize may be forfeited.

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any winner unable to verify eligibility.

10. PUBLICITY RELEASE

By entering, Entrant grants Sponsor the right to use Entrant’s name, voice, likeness, photograph, video, biographical information, and city/state of residence for promotional and advertising purposes in any media, worldwide, without additional compensation unless prohibited by law.

11. INFORMATION COLLECTION & MARKETING CONSENT

By entering this Contest, Entrant acknowledges and agrees that Woodard Broadcasting Company may collect and use Entrant’s personal information for:

  • Contest administration
  • Prize fulfillment
  • Marketing and promotional communications
  • Future contests and station promotions

Entrant may receive marketing communications via email, telephone, or text message, in compliance with applicable law, including the CAN-SPAM Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

Entrant may opt out at any time by following unsubscribe instructions in the privacy policy or replying STOP to text messages.

If this Contest includes a Promotional Partner, Entrant acknowledges that personal information may be shared with the Promotional Partner for its independent marketing purposes, where permitted by law or where Entrant has provided affirmative consent.

Once shared, information becomes subject to the Promotional Partner’s privacy policy.

12. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By participating, Entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Woodard Broadcasting Company, Promotional Partners, affiliated stations, and their respective officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance/use of any prize.

13. GENERAL CONDITIONS

Sponsor reserves the right to:

  • Cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud or technical failure compromises integrity.
  • Disqualify any individual who tampers with entry process or violates these Rules.
  • Substitute prize if unavailable.

14. DISPUTES

This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Calhoun County, Alabama.

Entrants waive the right to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages.
