LISA of BLACKPINK leads this week’s roundup with her sizzling Press Play EP, which features her Billboard Hot 100 hit “SaWaDiKa” (No. 69) and the newly released “Tarantino.” Landing right on time for the Thai singer’s upcoming Las Vegas residency taking place Nov. 12-29, the bilingual, six-track set also features an interpolation of Missy Elliott and Timbaland’s 2003 song “Bomb Intro/Pass That Dutch” on standout track “Cobra.”

Two major albums lead this week’s new R&B and hip-hop releases: John Legend’s Muse and Yung Miami’s Watch Dis, respectively. The former marks the EGOT winner’s first album-length collaboration with Pharrell Williams, who was inspired to lock in with Legend for an LP after linking with him for “The Birds Don’t Sing” off Clipse’s Grammy-winning Let God Sort Em Out in 2025. The latter is the long-awaited debut solo studio album from Yung Miami, who scored the biggest hit of her career this year with “Spend Dat,” nearly a decade after she first burst onto the scene as one-half of City Girls.

Kacey Musgraves also previewed her forthcoming Middle of Nowhere Vol. 2: Tex Mex Tapes, a 16-track expansion of this year’s acclaimed Middle of Nowhere, with the breezy, brassy “Weekend In Texas.” British DJ Sammy Virji surprise-dropped his sophomore studio album, Open Late, which he conceived almost entirely on the road between shows.

This New Music Friday also features new albums from Claud (Me and the Music), Anderson .Paak and Cordae (Heavy Is the Crown), Halle (Love?… Or Something Like It – Deluxe), Brakence (Marrow), Toosii (Platinum Heart 2), Yeat (Luh Leakyz Vol. 1), Samara Joy (Live at the Blue Note L.A.), Che Noir (It Takes A Village), Laila! (We’ll Never Be This Young Again), My Chemical Romance (The Black Parade – 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition), girl in red (Blue – EP), Josiah Queen (Damascus Road), Lennon Stella (Sleeping Lion), Michael Kiwanuka (Fudge), Laundry Day (4×4), Hilary Duff (Holiday Things – EP), Brothers Osborne (Watertown) and MC Eiht (The Story of My Life).

Over on the singles side, Miley Cyrus leads the way with “Cold Blood,” a mid-2010s demo she gifted to the soundtrack for season three of Netflix’s hit comedy series Nobody Wants This. Megan Moroney also contributed a new song titled “Say When,” while fellow country star Carly Pearce teamed up with Max McNown for “Not Falling Out.”

John Mayer launched his new Sob Rock Records label with the soft rock tune “Tom and Jerry”; Dominic Fike continued teasing his upcoming How to Quit Smoking LP with “Pangea,” and Snoh Aalegra kept her Legendary Love rollout moving with “I Love You.”

Music fans also got new songs from Xavi (“Nadie Te Extraña”); ATEEZ (“Drip”); King Princess (“Old Song”); Timothée Chalamet and Hans Zimmer (“Desert Chant – from Dune: Part Three“); Lake Street Dive (“What About Flamingos?”); Jxdn (“All Mine”); keshi (“Miss Me”); Neton Vega and Fuerza Regida (“Olimpo”); Haute and Freddy (“Film Noir”); Myke Towers (“Te Imagino”), French Montana, Max B and Stove God Cooks (“Live and Die”); Skepta (“Pandora’s Box”); Girlset and Kylie Cantrall (“Glown Up”); V’ghn (“Friends”); Mannywellz and Odeal (“Cry On You”); Wiz Khalifa (“The Calm”); Olamide (“Burukutu”) and Fousheé (“Savior”).
